Why is sleep important? well, group A have the answer to that. Together in our group we created a presentation that gives a clear explanation of why sleep is so important, how long do we humans need to sleep, why sleeping is healthy and how technology or devices affect our sleep patterns. Sleeping is really healthy for your body because it helps you recharge energy for the next day. Did you know when you are sleeping you grow every time.

Pechaflickr Narratives
For writing we wrote a pichaflickr, a pichaflickr is a story short story you make people interested in your story. The fun thing about this activity was thinking about how we could make our story sound the best and also working in pairs. I learnt the structure of a narrative, how to link ideas to paragraphs and also how to paint a picture only using words, to show not tell what was happening during the story. I worked collaboratively with Dallas while doing this activity.

HIIT Training
Today we did HITT (High Intense Interval Training) this training program is based on increasing our heart rate by Pau te hau which means getting puffed. The 4 rotations we did are squats, tap steps, Push ups and fast star jumps. The hardest rotation was the push ups. For these rotations we did the 4 sets of each. We also had 20 seconds to do them .We got us an extra 20 seconds for a little brake to regain our energy.

Cook Island Language Week
This week is Cook Island language week and we respect their culture by embarrassing it. We then made a DLO talking about the traditional foods and dances, phrases/sayings, it's flag and prime minister, a map of Cook Island and also Travel information for example how many hours it would to go from here (New Zealand) to Cook Island. I learnt that the 15 stars on the Cook Island flag stand for the 15 islands that make up Cook Island, which is Tongareva, Rakahanga, Manihiki, Pukapuka, Nassau, Suwarrow, Palmerston, Aitutaki, Manuae, Takutea, Atiu, Mitiaro, Mauke, Rarotonga, and Mangaia. I've also learnt that the capital of Cook Island is Avarua which is well known for their amazing beaches and shopping centers.
