Whakatauki

Today we have been learning about our school whakatauki. Our schools whakatauki is, Manaaki Whenua ( Care for the land ), Manaaki Tangata ( Care for the people ), Haere Whakamua ( Go forward)  This is our school whakatauki.

Math place value (Subtraction)

This week for maths Josh and I recorded our place value (Subtraction) Strategies to solve an equation easily. To answer our question we used place value as our strategy and used screencastify to record our thinking. Using this strategy makes your place value equations much more easier.

Softball

Today was our first week at softball our softball teacher name is Allyson. At softball we learnt how to catch and how to throw there where come good technique on how to throw the ball and how to catch the ball the technique is called the Monkey and a crocodile when you put them together you get mokeydile that is the technique.

Today was our 2nd week at tech. In graphics we started our design brief on what we will use to make the design. After we finished the What, Where, Why, Who, When, How. We did a comparison on the type of phone stands.

Winter Olympics and P.B.S Comparison



Today we are learning about  the comparisons of the Winter Olympics and our school, Panmure Bridge school. We used our smart searching skills to find the answers. It was hard to figure out what the Olympic creed was. This comparison was really useful for us. This would help us learn about the Winter Olympics that is currently happening.

Summary The Pathway

Today for reading we wrote a summary about the pathway. The pathway is about the British people and native people the British people are trying to buy the land on the native people the British people manged to buy a land for a tin of nails.

First lesson in graphics

It was out first week back at tech. Today was our first lesson in graphics in graphics we did a collage about me and what our favorite things are. We also used a avatar maker to make a avatar like us.

This week we were learning about how sentences can our writing more interesting. I learnt simple sentence, compound sentence and complex sentences we also learnt language structure's which is aaawwwubbis and fanboys.

Today for kiwi can we had different kiwi can leaders there names are Mr Matt and Miss lily. We talked about encouragement. Encouragement is cheering people on and saying positive words after that we played a encouraging game the name is ball bag we all cheered each other we also played 10 second tag its when one person is in the middle and they says do you like sport then you have to move to a different spot if you are the last one you are in the middle.
