Toady we did Cybersmart with Mr Ashurst. He showed us a video about how to write an email. After he showed us the video he sent us away and we did a DLO.

Animation - Seasons and winter solstice

Today Sanujan and I had accomplished our goal of getting all three of our inquiry task completed. We had completed two other tasks and they are "Winter solstice celebrated on other countries and Legend of Matariki and the Six Sister". I think that this is our best work yet because of the amazing animations. Here is a tip: Wait for the animation to stop on each slide then go on the other slide. Me and Sanujan had learnt lots from our tasks. 

Yule (Winter Solstice) Celebration

This week for inquiry we were learning about Matariki and winter Solstice. Our task was to find other countries which celebrated winter solstice. I had worked with Sanujan. This was our second task and our first task was about Matariki and the six sisters. For our current task we found out that Germany and The Northern Europeans celebrate Yule. Did you know that Yule is actually Christmas but it is in a different words.

Today Sanujan and I had completed our task for Matariki. Did you know that the seven stars are acutely  the seven sisters. But not all seven are sisters. Only six of them are sisters. Two of these sisters like to grow and harvest food and plants. One like to stay with her grandmother and listen to her special stories. In this DLO we had included a reference. This task is part of our inquiry and we had lots of fun making this DLO. 

Panmure Bridge black out day

Toady was that black out day. We did this to wish the All Blacks or the Lions.Toady was a very special day because all of the students at Panmure Bridge wore black and some other students wore red to support the lions. After that we all gathered up and had a special assembly in the assembly we watched two small videos of the game that the All Blacks and the Lions are going to have. After that we sang a song called Tutira Mai Nga Iwi  AJ lead and amazing performance for our Kapa Haka group and LS2 held up an all blacks player's name and the number. After the performance Mr Oglivie told us to sand in the number that the teacher have given us my number was 6 al; the students got a different nub,er going up to 9 because when you spell All Blacks there are 9 numbers.

Dance: Keeping in time and Positions

Today we did dance. This week Mrs Anderson took a video of all of the groups and she showed us our videos for us to see what we need to change. We mostly need to work on our timing and our positions because we couldn't see the students behind us. For our timing we have to do the moves at the same time not like one 1 pair putting their hands down and they others putting it to the side. I had worked with Freeman, Joshua and a new person and he is Tai. We had to work with Tai because people from his groups are away and Sylis from our group is also away so we decided to work with him. I think he did an amazing job and I am so impressed with him because today was his first time with us and he we tried so hard to make his familiar with the moves.

People who have / not littered in our school

This pie chart show the amount of people that have and have not littered in our school. The chart says that 54 people has littered and 26 people have not littered at Panmure Bridge. This needs a big change and that is that the yes has to decrease and the no’s have to increase and we need to be a tidy school.

First Aid Instructions

Today I completed my First aid instructions we had to talk about how to save someone from an accident or maybe from choking. I had included 7 steps to provide the audience instructions of what to do if they get in a situation of whether their family members or their friends get hurt or even chocked.

Toady we were learning about being cybersmart. I had to comment on Miki fantastic bedmas presentation on your maths. I think your did a fantastic job on your bed mas keep it up.

 

Preventing littering at Panmure Bridge Schoold

Today for inquiry we had to get into groups 4 and we had to negotiate without talking about how Panmure Bridge should prevent littering. The pupils in my team came up with fantastic Ideas. My favorite was the one which say have more bins in our school and we should the one which says tidy kiwi should be long like 3 three weeks. I could not believe that lots of people came up with have more bins at our school. I really had fun negotiating with my group members with out speaking and using sign language.

Toady Sanujan, Mia, Tiava and I had finished our task for inquiry task. Our task was to create a DLO about milk in our schools from Fonterra. I had lots of fun making this DLO because I love collaborating with others and we had also added some animation for our google presentation. 

Readtheory

Toady I have been working on my read theory. The task was to read the passage ans answer the questions. The passage that I read was called Three Different Flowers it is about three flowers there are Daisy, Marigold  and rose. It told me the variety of colours that the Rose has Daisy and Marigold. 

Dance

Toady we did dance with Miss Brett. First we did our warm ups with our partner. then we watched a video of Sadeck and Ammar doing their dance moves. Then Miss Brett took the music and add other music. She add rock music after she add the rock music we had to see if it fits with the moves but it did not suit it. After Miss Brett add ballet music to the move it did fit and it did not fit. 

How maui brought fire for the world.

Today I had completed my Haiku on how Maui brought fire to the world.

If you are wondering about what a haiku is. 

well a haiku has 3 sentences. The top sentence have 5 syllables, the middle one have 7 syllables and the bottom one have 5 syllables again.

Tech: Cooking

Today at tech we made cinnamon cupcakes. Our teacher at tech toady was Mrs Heka when ever Mrs Heka is sick or away Mrs Tepulotu is our teacher. Toady at tech we made cinnamon cupcakes there were lots of difficult steps. Toady I worked with Sanujan and Christopher. We all had lots of fun making the cupcakes the cupcakes we made were super delicious. 

What can and can't recycled

This is a DLO about what can and what can't be recycled. I think that supermarkets should stop using plastic bags because cannot be recycled. I also think that people should stop using cling film because when the cling film reaches to the ocean or seas aquatic animals think that the cling film is jelly fish and eat them. It also goes for plastic bags and other plastic items. I think the government should ban the use of plastic bags and we should replace them with reusable shopping bag because they hurt the environment.

Kilikiti

This is a DLO on Kilikiti. Kilikiti is a Samoan traditional game. It is similar to Cricket but it is different from each other by the bats, balls, and cloths because the bats have three flat side and the kilikiti ball is made out of different materials. Did you know that in Samoa people sing and provide food for people when that event takes place. For this task I worked collaboratively with Calvin and Sanujan.
